Cookies
Last revised: 13 September 2026
SmartHub uses three cookies, all of them our own, and none of them can tell where you browse outside this site. There is no advertising, no third-party analytics and nothing is shared with anyone to profile you.
Which ones they are
| Cookie | Kind | What for | How long |
|---|---|---|---|
| sb-…-auth-token | Strictly necessary | Keeps you signed in. Without it you would have to sign in again on every page. | The session |
| smarthub-sidebar-collapsed | Preference | Remembers whether you left the side menu collapsed. | One year |
| smarthub.impersonate | Strictly necessary | Only for administrators, and only while they use “view as” to support someone. It is logged. | Until they leave “view as” |
Why no banner pops up
Because the law asks for consent for cookies that are not strictly necessary — advertising and measurement ones — and there are none of those here. The three above are either strictly necessary or a preference: one keeps you signed in, another remembers how you left the screen.
A banner asking permission for nothing protects nobody: it teaches people to click “accept” without reading, and the day there really is something to consent to, nobody reads it either.
There are no cookies in the mobile app
The SmartHub app is not a browser: it uses no cookies. It keeps your session in the phone’s own secure store — the iOS keychain — and it is wiped when you sign out or uninstall the app.
What does get recorded when something breaks
When the tool hits an error, a technical report is sent to our issue tracking system, and that report includes a recording of the seconds just before, so we can reproduce what happened. It uses no cookies, and nothing is recorded while everything works: only when there is an error.
It is used to fix the fault and for nothing else. It is not linked to your record and it is not used to measure what you do.
They are all ours
All three are first-party cookies: smarthubcrm.com sets them and nobody else reads them. There is not a single third-party cookie, which is why there is no list of third parties to show.
How to remove them
Any browser lets you see, delete and block cookies from its settings:
- Chrome: Settings → Privacy and security → Third-party cookies.
- Safari: Settings → Privacy → Manage website data.
- Firefox: Settings → Privacy & Security → Cookies and Site Data.
- Edge: Settings → Cookies and site permissions.
Bear in mind that if you block the session one you will not be able to sign in: that is literally the one that keeps you inside.
If this changes
When the text changes, the revision date at the top changes with it. If a cookie that is not strictly necessary were ever added, you would be asked for permission before it was set.
What data is processed and what you can ask for is in the privacy policy.
